TiPs foR uR VaLentiNe's DaY

Well folks it’s once again that time of the year,
Where most of you guys tremble in fear,
But look no further coz AZIM is here,
To help you steer your Valentine’s gear!
_
I know how romantic we want things to go,
But hey, tough luck Malaysia doesn’t snow,
Partners on the other hand, expect hell of a show,
And alamak, good shows need good dough!
_
So what I did was find somewhere cheap,
In order for your partner to not fall asleep,
Or maybe walk up a cliff and take a leap,
BUT instead hug you lovingly like you were her sheep.
_
I chose 5 places within the Melaka Street,
Some are to see and some are to eat,
Some say they’re boring places but I think they’re sweet,
But if they don’t work for you, just hit DELETE.
_
So, here is the list,
To clear the mist,
Give them a try I really insist,
But if they fail, sorry! Don’t give me the fist.

I chose Portuguese Square as number one,
Straits f Melaka view from here is second to none,
Some might even stare until they stun,
And forget to pay when their dinner is done!
There are occasional performances of Portuguese dances and music. There is a bulletin board at the square that lists upcoming cultural events. Plenty of restaurants at Potuguese Square. Food here is not too bad. The meals here are cheap for a dinner with a chilling breeze and awesome scenery. It was definitely worth it. But then again you and your partner can just come and enjoy the view. Dinner is not necessary.
_
Number Two I feel would have to be this showcase,
Of also the view of Melaka but from a different space,
Well it’s free; yeah I see your face!
Eye on Malaysia, people, is the place.
Yeap! Admission is absolutely FOC! All you got to do is get a ticket form the ticketing counter and you're good to go. Tickets are limited though. If you miss it you would have to come back another day. The booth starts distributing at 8:30 am so don’t be late!

Some might like or dislike number three,
It’s a small cruise ride with a small fee,
Melaka river Cruise is not bad I gurantee,
Have 45 minutes with your partner away from the city!
The 45-minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaining and informative commentary. You can strat to revise your old memories with Mr. Muner, you can even share your funny moments in his class with your love one. And, for just RM10, it's a good bargain. So RM20 for this short sweet escape is worth it.

As for Number four this one’s chun!
It’s a place where the tanglong make up the moon,
Jalan Hang Jebat’s amorous without the monsoon,
So, it might be where Jonker Walk got their tune.

Baba Nyonya heritage is on the click,
There are tons of Kebaya boutiques on the street,
It’s good to keep your money,
But on valentine’s day share it with your love one
Just to make her looks sexy.

Last but not least is number five,
This one was hard but that’s life,
SO I decided to make this one a free test-drive,
You can choose among the five, whichever suits your jive!
_
> Pure Bar, nice ambience good after dinner drinks.
> Botanical Restaurant, reasonable price, good yogurt drink.
> Holiday Inn, excellent environment, pricey though.
> St. John's Fort, nice scenery, come to appreciate, price? none.

That’s all I guess I don’t have six,
Well there are already nine so make your picks,
If you were creative you would probably mix,
And finally get the one that gives you guys the kicks.
_
Hope you guys learnt something form this,
The word expensive is never hard to miss,
But c’mon Valentine’s Day is a year’s bliss,
So, just burn your wallet for that one kiss!
Peace Out!
Azim Turner
